I have this quote from Uell Stanley Anderson posted around my house to remind me of the power of the Divine and the part I need to play in creating what I want in life.
Everything which you can conceive and accept is yours! Entertain no doubt. Refuse to accept hurry or worry or fear. That which knows and does everything is inside you and harkens to the slightest whisper.
The Divine’s part is “that which knows and does everything and is inside you and harkens…” That means it is listening for something.
My part is to:
- conceive – I have to envision and define what it is I want.
- accept – I have to be willing to allow it in to my life.
- entertain no doubt – don’t give doubts any of my attention and make sure I remain confident that I will receive.
- refuse to accept hurry or worry or fear – when those feelings come up, I have to say no to them.
- speak, even in a whisper, to what it is I want – because that which knows and does everything needs to know what to harken for. It needs to know what it’s listening for.
This is such a simple, yet powerful, formula which puts together the role of the Divine and the role of the individual.
The main thing to note is that the Divine is. There’s not choice in the matter. It is that which knows and does everything.
However, with the individual’s parts, each one of those is a choice.
You can choose not to define what it is you want.
You can choose to not accept what the divine has for you.
You can choose to entertain doubt.
You can choose to accept hurry, worry or fear.
And you can choose to not speak or whisper what it is you want.
The Divine has their role. You have yours. Just remember that the success of your role is based on your ability to choose wisely.
