Have you ever found yourself asking “why does this keep happening to me?”
Many of us have found the same sorts of personalities or events repeating in our lives. A typical example is moving jobs to get away from that bully or manipulator or simply, that most irritating boss, only to find that someone at the new organisation is behaving in exactly the same way.
I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that will continue to happen until something in you changes.
You see, everything that happens to and around us, all the people that cross our paths, they all have something to teach us. And until we learn what we need to learn, and apply what we’ve learned, those lessons will continue to take place.
So, next time you feel like it’s déja vu, don’t simply ask the question “why does this keep happening to me?”. Try answering it. What is this scenario here to teach you and how can you change your usual reaction to a different and better response?
