My coaching mentor, Mary Morrissey, has a powerful saying:
You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith.
When we step out to pursue our dreams, we often find ourselves at a crossroads where fear and faith collide.
Fear is a natural human emotion designed to protect us from danger. However, when fear starts dictating our actions and decisions regarding our dreams, it can become a significant barrier.
Fear keeps us in our comfort zone and prevents us from taking the necessary risks to move forward. It also fuels and amplifies any doubts we may have about our capabilities and even makes us question whether we even deserve to achieve our dreams.
On the other hand, faith – the trust in ourselves, our abilities, a greater power, and the path ahead – is what propels us forward. When faith outweighs fear, we’re more likely to take risks, embrace challenges, and move closer to our dreams.
So, how can you give more power to your faith instead of falling under the control of fear?
By nurturing your faith.
And how do you do that?
You do that by taking an action step toward your dream. Then another. Then another.
