Everyone says they want progress. More growth. Better habits. Greater results for their life. However, not everyone is willing to drop the one thing that quietly kills that progress:
Excuses
Excuses feel harmless. Logical even. They sound responsible. “I’m too busy.” “Now isn’t the right time.” “I’ll start when things calm down.”
But the truth is that excuses don’t protect you. In fact, they stall you or even just stop you from making any progress at all.
Excuses keep you feeling safe while progress can feel uncomfortable
Excuses give you temporary relief. They help you avoid discomfort, failure, and uncertainty. Progress, on the other hand, demands effort. It asks you to show up when your motivation is depleted and conditions aren’t perfect.
Growth has never waited for perfect timing. The people who move forward aren’t the ones who don’t have problems – they are the ones who stop letting problems decide their actions, or lack of actions.
So, what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for everything to line up perfectly before you begin?
That’s just never going to happen.
You need to make a decision about your excuses. Use them or lose them. You can only choose one of those options.
Just remember, one builds your future. The other keeps you stuck explaining why you haven’t done it yet.
It’s up to you.
